Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Tokyo

I recently went back to Omoide Yokocho (the Memory Lane) in Shinjuku. It was in spring mode with the fake cherry blossom branches all over the restaurants’ front. I love the atmosphere of the Memory Lane, the great “Japanese” feel to it and the architecture of the place. But my favourite part is the huge green and yellow sign that says ‘Omoide Yokocho’ at each entrance of the lane. I have always wanted to draw it, so here is my first attempt.
